Local Restaurants To Donate Portion of Proceeds to LLS for the month of July

(Washington, D.C.) - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Glory Days Grill have partnered to celebrate National Ice Cream Month this July. Glory Days locations in VA, MD, WV and FL (19 in total) will donate 25¢ for every Oreo® Slider ordered to help fund LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is thankful to all of the Glory Days Grill staff, general managers and owners for choosing to work with LLS on their National Ice Cream Month celebration,” said Beth Gorman, National Capital Area Chapter Executive Director. “The dollars raised through this partnership will help to fund life-saving research and important patient programs and services. I hope everyone will find time to support Glory Days Grill and LLS throughout the month of July, and enjoy a delicious Oreo® Slider treat for a great cause.”

Glory Days Grill has been a pillar in the local community for many years, lending their support to various events, little league teams and charitable endeavors. This month long partnership with LLS is the first of its kind, and through the event they hope to raise at least $10,000 for the organization.

“Glory Days Grill is very honored to once again be partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise funds that will be used both towards research and to support those affected by blood cancers,” says Gary Cohen, VP of Operations at Glory Days Grill. “Many of us have been personally affected by these diseases, and it is very important and rewarding for us to be involved with such an amazing organization.”

LLS Volunteers will be on-site at three local participating Glory Days Grills on National Ice Cream Day, July 20, to help collect donations and provide diners with information about LLS and its mission. For more information please visit www.glorydaysgrill.com.
